Hi folks,

One of my favorite marketers was a guy named Zig Ziglar.  (Maybe you’ve heard of him) Recently he passed away right when I was writing the post about him. It was kind of weird because as I was writing the post I started to get headlines saying that he had passed away, so I went ahead and put up the post about developing a personality like his anyway.

Well, there is something else about Mr. Ziglar that I also loved. It was that he had some of the most useful quotes. One in particular always seemed to stick in my mind and it became the reason for me changing the way I do business.

I found some of his more famous quotes, you can read the rest of them here.

Below are some of my personal favorites. These are the quotes that I refer to over and over. I’ve placed them here for you view in one place:

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”

“If you go looking for a friend, you’re going to find they’re scarce. If you go out to be a friend, you’ll find them everywhere.”

“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” (This one is my favorite by the way)

“Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs.”

“Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.”

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great”

“The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want right now”

“You are what you are and you are where you are because of what has gone into your mind. You change what you are and you change where you are by changing what goes into your mind.”

“The more you are grateful for what you have the more you will have to be grateful for”

“You cannot consistently perform in a manner which is inconsistent with the way you see yourself.”
