Warning: This May Be The Most Important Post You Will Read Today…

startup business

For some of you who have been reading my blog now for a couple of months what you’re about to read could very well be the most important message that you will read today.

Here’s why…

I’ve been online sine 1999 and over the past 14 years I’ve learned a lot. I’ve made mistakes that’s cost me money and I’ve made great moves that’s made me a lot of money.

But here’s why you would be interested in what I’m about to say.

You see, over those years when I was making my many mistakes with trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. I had the thought to write down what I was doing. Good or bad it went into my little personal journal.

If you’ve been online for any length of time or even if you’re just starting out and looking just to be able to make a little extra income from your website, then you will learn a lot from my life lessons.

Let me give you an example of what’s being peddled today to people online that will apply to you right now.

You pretty much know that google has made changes to it’s algorithm. Panda and Penguin have knocked out once trusted sources online and made them irrelevant as google aims to always deliver relevant content.

Well one of the things that’s being routinely stuffed down your throat by the guru’s is the concept of if you want to make money online then start making a bunch of websites around a keyword or phrase, put about 5 – 15 articles on it, throw up some adsense and you can make money that way. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times my inbox is hit with offers pitching this idea. And truthfully, they do a good job of making it sound easy.

I admit, I fell for it years ago…..

But here’s what you have to remember, if you chose to go that route than you will not only come up short in the long run, but you will become even more frustrated in the process.

See what they have conveniently left off is that googles algorithm frowns on these kinds of sites. What google wants from you is quality content. They don’t want you to try and game the system by throwing up sites so that you can earn a few bucks off of them.

I tested out that strategy and it cost me a lot of money.

Here is just a taste of what you will be looking at.

Basically you will need to hire competent writers to fulfill all of the content that will be needed to fill your sites out. Trust me, you won’t be able to write about all of the topics that you will come up with for your niche. For one, a lot of the topics that you will choose, you won’t have a clue about so you will need to outsource it because for every minute that you spend researching about your topic it’s a minute spent not writing. Another issue you will face is that just because you find a niche that you think might be profitable, it doesn’t mean you want to learn about it personally. That will make it hard for you to write about it on a regular basis.  However here’s what happened.

The sites I created got ranked, yea for me… but quickly dropped off the first page.

Because what google also wants is to give it’s readers the most current information on a topic.

But here is the funny thing.

When I would add more articles that were current and quite lengthy, the sites would move back up the rankings.

The takeaway here is that unless you plan on updating your sites on a regular basis then putting up a lot of sites with a few articles on it here and there…then that won’t work.

Now even with that being said, I want to share with you a simple way for you to still give google what they want and never have to worry about posting up articles like you were a mad genius.

What you have to do is create “epic shit”

Pardon my french.

Here’s what I mean by epic shit.

You articles should be able to answer the questions that your readers will have and they should come away with the thought that you covered the topic in a very thorough way. This usually means a longer article. More than the 400-500 word range that you hear the guru’s recommend. I routinely write 1500 – 2000 word articles to cover topics in my niche.

And guess what?

These little masterpieces get ranked really fast. Now you want to here the really cool part. I don’t even try and do all of that seo stuff. That’s not to say that I haven’t tried doing seo because I have.

Keyword research, H1 tags, keyword phrase in the first sentence, keyword density no more that 3%, keyword towards the beginning of my description and all that good stuff. I’ve done it and it’s a real pain in the butt. It’s much easier to just write out your article without having to go and add all of those things.

This then poses a problem for you if you want to create websites for your products and services that get ranked and shared naturally.

How do you create epic shit when you are not a writer yourself and you don’t want to give yourself a headache trying to do all of the seo stuff.

Your answer lies in one powerful word that holds the key to you finally breaking through and making good money with your websites.

That magic word is…Content…

You have to know how to create relevant content that educates your market.

When you know how to do that and can do that on a regular basis, you know longer have to worry about algorithm updates.

The people who are reading your articles will pass them around naturally because of the quality of your content and the education that they are getting.

When they say that content is king…it is definitely true.

Now I’m going to pull back the cover on what makes quality content.

It boils down to structure.

The structure of how you present your information to your readers is what will get them to say…aha…that’s just what I was looking for. It’s like you are reading their minds and giving them exactly what they are looking for.

When I first started out as a copywriter, one of the first experiences I came across when it came to structure was A.I.D.A.

Attention – Interest – Desire – Action

Although A.I.D.A works, it’s geared more towards advertising and not content creation. However in order to create top notch content I needed something more. I hit my writing lab and created what I like to call P.O.A

It took a couple of months to work out the kinks in order to create this system, but I finally figured out how to use it for writing epic shit.

So if you are saying to yourself…”Okay great, you have this system, that’s good for you, but what does this have to do with me”

Actually it has a lot to do with you.

I’m in the process of putting everything I know about how you can create epic shit which is content that google will drool over all in one location online.

And the best part is that creating epic shit isn’t hard to do at all.

It’s easy to do once you know the steps you have to take and I will show you exactly how to do it.

In fact here’s a sample of what I will be sharing with you:

  • The one simple question you need to ask that will reveal the hidden structure you will need to create in order to have your readers willing to crawl over broken glass to get what you have to offer.
  • How to write headlines that grab your markets attention so that they read every word that you write like their life depended on it
  • How to exploit the emotions of your prospects
  • The 10 basic emotional triggers that are used in marketing and how to sprinkle them throughout your content to create little masterpieces that tug at your prospects inner issues
  • How to mix emotional copywriting with your content so that your readers are sucked in like a fly to fly paper.
  • How to easily lead your readers to the sale and have them asking you to please sell them something
  • 11 ways to write an attention grabbing post
  • 10 ways to write blog posts that will prove your authority on a subject
  • 11 blog post ideas that will make you the hero of your niche
  • How to build your own tribe that will support you in both good and bad times
  • An easy 1,2,3, step for creating articles that your readers will want to read over and over again
  • How to know exactly what to cover in your content so your readers will find your site and be in a buying mode
  • The strategy for generating free traffic that makes google irrelevant

There will be quite a bit more that I will be teaching than what I wrote here. Everything that you will be getting will be about how to make your business recession proof and for you not to be so reliant on google. The best thing I ever did was to stop relying on google as my sole source for getting traffic. Once I did that then generating traffic became much easier. And I’ll show you how you can do it too. If you can sit down and do a little thinking for 5 minutes then you can generate traffic that doesn’t call for you to be afraid of the famous google slap.

Now before you go off and start thinking that this will be some high priced product, let me tell you that it won’t be that at all. Honestly I wouldn’t offer a high priced product unless you’ve first experienced success through what I teach. To start off with an expensive product without proving myself to you would be a total loss. You’ll understand why I can say that once you are involved in what I will be teaching.

So if it won’t be a high priced product then it must be some sort of webinar where you will offer it at the end. I’ll admit that I do like webinars, but I don’t do them and nor will this be hidden behind a webinar.

Well how will you be able to access it?

You’ll have to wait and see for that answer.

Meanwhile…make sure you stay tuned  to find out even more details on how you can create the online business that you’ve always dreamed of.

How To Choose Long Tail Keywords

Lately there has been a lot of talk about using long tail keywords in your blogging adventures.

But truthfully, a lot of what you’ve heard about using long tail keywords in incorrect and misleading.

However, today I want to clear some things up for you so that hopefully you can become the bloggin sharpshooter that you were meant to be.

So what exactly are long tail keywords?

To start off with, one of the big misconceptions that you will hear out there is that long tail keywords are words that usually have 3 or more words. Sadly, this isn’t correct.

It is sometimes true that longer phrases can show up in the long tail results for a search. But don’t be fooled by that inhow to choose long tail keywords your research.

Here’s what you really need to know about how to choose long tail keywords for you blog

When you want to generate traffic for you blog, then you will need to look not at the amount of words in your phrase, but instead look at the number searches done for the phrase to determine whether or not it is indeed a true long tail keyword.

How about an example.

Let’s say that you wanted to do a search for a keyword phrase and you chose to research the phrase cut hair.

And in so doing,  you come across the choices:

cut hair 900 searches

how to wash long hair 1200 searches

blonde hair 650 searches

Looking at the phrases here which one of them would be considered the long tail phrase?

If you said blonde hair then you would be correct.

See it’s the number of searches that count.

Always remember to look at the number of searches to determine if it is a phrase you should be using in your blogging adventures.

The example above was just one I made up for this sample so don’t go out there thinking you can start a blog on blonde hair.

If you’re trying to rank for a word with a moderate competition then you can gain some traction by going with words that have less competition, but that you can also rank really easy for.

How To Read The Mind of Your Customer

One of the things that you have to do if you want to create a blog online that pulls readers in is to make a connection with that potential reader. To jar them in their tracks.

Now reading that sentence can be a little misleading for you.

Let me explain.

As you read that sentence, I made it sound really simple. That if you wanted to have a hoard of readers flocking to your blog then you only have to make a connection…and bam! There are your new sheep.

But the truth of the matter is that it isn’t easy at all, especially if you are just starting out online and you have the scent of a newbie all over you.

The question then becomes what are you supposed to do…

Well, one of my secrets is to use the power of questions to get inside of my readers heads. Often when I write posts I’ll get messages that say things like, “You read my mind, that’s exactly the question I was going to ask.”

And as much as I would love to say that I did it using magic greater than Houdini, I can’t. As it turns out it’s much simpler than that.

It’s called suggestions.

In particular google suggest.

Just in case you are wondering what that is… you know how when you type in your search query into google, there are a couple of suggestions that pops up that dear old mother google thinks you might be actually intending to type in.

But here’s the thing about those suggestions.

If you want to know what your market is thinking, then you only need to type in your keyword that you think they would use and then let google tell you what people are typing in about that subject. You’re actually getting what your market is looking for from you, that you should answer for them.

There’s gold in that last sentence so make sure you really understand what I just told you.

The suggestions are what your market is looking for. It’s your job to give them those answers.

However, there is a slight problem with google suggest. It doesn’t dig deep enough. You need to see a variety of search queries so you can begin to read the mind of your market. Google give you a couple, but what you will find is that there are thousands more waiting for you to discover.

I won’t go into how you can use google suggest in this post.

What I will do instead is give you a much better tool.

You can find it here. And best of all it’s free.

Now here’s how you can use that tool.

You simply type in a keyword and what this engine will do is it will give you all of the suggestions you could get if you went through the entire alphabet.

From a-z.

Next what you want to do is scroll through your results. What you will find is that you can use these queries as a way to read your markets minds. By using the queries you have the inside track as to what your market wants from you.

So let’s say I stroll over to the search engine and type in the keyword hamburger.

What I will get back are queries like:

hamburger dinner ideas

hamburger gravy without milk

hamburger gravy with mustard soup

What you are seeing are the actual search queries that people are typing in and looking for answers to.

The only thing you have to do is a little research and put that answer on your blog.

Now when a potential reader comes along and lands on your page, they will see the very same query that they had in their mind sitting on your blog.
