2 Entrepreneur Lifestyle Lessons I Learned From Jay – Z

Pop quiz..

What can you learn from famed rapper jay – z?

Answer..

1. You are your brand.

2. And it’s critical to your success.

Why?

Because the more your market can identify with you the more they will be willing to listen to what you have to say.

Understand this about money.

It’s everywhere.

It’s not just in the rich folks bank accounts.

It’s also in the guy who’s standing behind you in line at the grocery store with the 5 packs of Rahman noodles in his hands…it’s in his pocket as well.

But get this, he’s willing to give it to you if you can give him a legitimate reason to do so.

He wants you to answer the questions he has in his mind about you and your product or service.

Shucks…let me ask you…

What do you stand for in your business?

What are you communicating to your market?

Ask Samsung or blackberry about using a brand and understanding what you stand for in the mind of your market.

Blackberry’s brand once stood for something..now they don’t know what they stand for.

And guess what..

You know that they don’t stand for what their customers want them to stand for because their customers got together and voted with their wallets.

Message received..

Governor Christie..

He’s having a personal brand crisis.

How?

His brand was being a straight shooter..telling it like it is, even when you didn’t want to hear it.

And now…

He’s being re-branded.

As what?

A bully.

Tsk, tsk, tsk…

At the end of the day here’s something for you to put your mind on.

If it’s more money that you want for your business then learn this.

“Money is simply a response to mans thoughts about himself.”

Write that down..print it out even. Study it.

Hell, repeat it to yourself until you fully get it.

Why?

Because what you think you are, you become. And if what you become in this world aligns with other people’s beliefs about themselves then greenbacks will be exchanged as result.
