How To Read The Mind of Your Customer

One of the things that you have to do if you want to create a blog online that pulls readers in is to make a connection with that potential reader. To jar them in their tracks.

Now reading that sentence can be a little misleading for you.

Let me explain.

As you read that sentence, I made it sound really simple. That if you wanted to have a hoard of readers flocking to your blog then you only have to make a connection…and bam! There are your new sheep.

But the truth of the matter is that it isn’t easy at all, especially if you are just starting out online and you have the scent of a newbie all over you.

The question then becomes what are you supposed to do…

Well, one of my secrets is to use the power of questions to get inside of my readers heads. Often when I write posts I’ll get messages that say things like, “You read my mind, that’s exactly the question I was going to ask.”

And as much as I would love to say that I did it using magic greater than Houdini, I can’t. As it turns out it’s much simpler than that.

It’s called suggestions.

In particular google suggest.

Just in case you are wondering what that is… you know how when you type in your search query into google, there are a couple of suggestions that pops up that dear old mother google thinks you might be actually intending to type in.

But here’s the thing about those suggestions.

If you want to know what your market is thinking, then you only need to type in your keyword that you think they would use and then let google tell you what people are typing in about that subject. You’re actually getting what your market is looking for from you, that you should answer for them.

There’s gold in that last sentence so make sure you really understand what I just told you.

The suggestions are what your market is looking for. It’s your job to give them those answers.

However, there is a slight problem with google suggest. It doesn’t dig deep enough. You need to see a variety of search queries so you can begin to read the mind of your market. Google give you a couple, but what you will find is that there are thousands more waiting for you to discover.

I won’t go into how you can use google suggest in this post.

What I will do instead is give you a much better tool.

Now here’s how you can use that tool.

You simply type in a keyword and what this engine will do is it will give you all of the suggestions you could get if you went through the entire alphabet.

From a-z.

Next what you want to do is scroll through your results. What you will find is that you can use these queries as a way to read your markets minds. By using the queries you have the inside track as to what your market wants from you.

So let’s say I stroll over to the search engine and type in the keyword hamburger.

What I will get back are queries like:

hamburger dinner ideas

hamburger gravy without milk

hamburger gravy with mustard soup

What you are seeing are the actual search queries that people are typing in and looking for answers to.

The only thing you have to do is a little research and put that answer on your blog.

Now when a potential reader comes along and lands on your page, they will see the very same query that they had in their mind sitting on your blog.
